Today’s Prayer Challenge: Managing My Anger & My Mouth

“8 But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth. 9 Lie not to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds; 10 And have put on a new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him.” ~ Colossians 3:8 — 10 (KJV)

Dear Lord,

We first and foremost come to You giving You all the praise, glory, and honor as the one and only true and living God. We thank You for salvation — sending Your Son to die on the cross for our sins so that we can have eternal life with You in heaven. Please forgive us of our sins, and we thank You in advance for helping us to overcome our weaknesses and shortcomings.

Lord, we come with a special prayer today that You will help us to put on the new man You called us to be through anger management and controlling out tongues. Father, sometimes people can try our nerves. Father, sometimes we get ourselves into situations where it seems lying is the best way out. But, our reactions and the way we handle ourselves is a reflection on You since we are Your children. May we represent You well no matter what situation we find ourselves in, so we lead people towards You and not away from You.

It is in the magnificent name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, that we pray. Amen.
