Today’s Prayer Challenge: Not Letting Go of Our Faith

“23 If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard and which was preached to every creature which is under heaven; whereof I Paul am made a minister” ~ Colossians 1:23 (KJV)

Dear Lord,

We first and foremost come to You giving You all the praise, glory, and honor as the one and only true and living God. We thank You for salvation — sending Your Son to die on the cross for our sins so that we can have eternal life with You in heaven. Please forgive us of our sins, and we thank You in advance for helping us to overcome our weaknesses and shortcomings.

Lord, we come with a special prayer today that You will help us to hold fast to our faith in You despite what the world may say. Science tells us that we are irrational, and different members of society would have us believe there are other deities. But, we know, Father, that there is none like You. It is You alone who saved our souls from eternal damnation. You alone, comfort us when we are down. You alone love us truly unconditionally. Father, no one and nothing can ever take Your place. In the words of Apostle Paul, we pledge to “continue in the faith grounded and settled and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel.”

It is in the magnificent name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, that we pray. Amen.
