Today’s Prayer Challenge: Thanking God That Grace is Rooted in Truth

“6 Which is come unto you, as it is in all the world; and bringeth forth fruit, as it doth also in you, since the day ye heard of it, and knew the grace of God in truth.” ~ Colossians 1:6 (KJV)

Dear Lord,

We first and foremost come to You giving You all the praise, glory, and honor as the one and only true and living God. We thank You for salvation — sending Your Son to die on the cross for our sins so that we can have eternal life with You in heaven. Please forgive us of our sins, and we thank You in advance for helping us to overcome our weaknesses and shortcomings.

Lord, we come with a special prayer today thanking You that the grace You bestow upon us each and everyday is rooted in truth and nothing else. As undeserving as we are of Your gracious riches, we would be in trouble if grace was grounded in whim or anything else less stable than unchanging truth. Father we thank You for Your unconditional love and care for us, for without it, our souls would truly be lost.

It is in the magnificent name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, that we pray. Amen.
