“26 Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath” ~ Ephesians 4:26 (KJV)
We first and foremost come to You giving You all the praise, glory, and honor as the one and only true and living God. We thank You for salvation — sending Your Son to die on the cross for our sins so that we can have eternal life with You in heaven. Please forgive us of our sins, and we thank You in advance for helping us to overcome our weaknesses and shortcomings.
Lord, we come with a special prayer today that You will help us to renew the spirit of our minds by handling our anger as You would desire us to. Father, we know that whereas anger in itself is not wrong we must try not to hurt anyone when we are upset. Being mad does not give us the right to harm anyone physically, verbally, or emotionally. Thank You, for granting us the discretion to know when we simply need to remove ourselves from a situation until we can act or speak with a clear mind. Lastly, Father, thank You for teaching us how to let go of holding grudges. May we reach a spiritual maturity level where we never let the sun go down on our anger.
It is in the magnificent name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, that we pray. Amen.
