Today’s Prayer Challenge: Renewing The Spirit Of My Mind — Part I

“23 And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; 24 And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness. 25 Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbor; for we are members one of another.” ~ Ephesians 4:23 — 25  (KJV)

Dear Lord,

We first and foremost come to You giving You all the praise, glory, and honor as the one and only true and living God. We thank You for salvation — sending Your Son to die on the cross for our sins so that we can have eternal life with You in heaven. Please forgive us of our sins, and we thank You in advance for helping us to overcome our weaknesses and shortcomings.

Lord, we come with a special prayer today that You will help us to renew the spirit of our minds. Father, we know that the life we lead after salvation should not be the same one we lead before giving our hearts over to You. Thank You, Lord, for stirring in us a deep hunger for Your Word. Thank You for granting us the discipline to study the Bible each and everyday, so we can change the way we think and the way we interact in this world. May we “put on the new man” You have called us to be.

It is in the magnificent name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, that we pray. Amen.
