Today’s Prayer Challenge: Thanking God For His Wondrously Unconditional Love

“4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: 5 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, 6 To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.” ~ Ephesians 1:4 –6 (KJV)

Dear Lord,

We first and foremost come to You giving You all the praise, glory, and honor as the one and only true and living God. We thank You for salvation — sending Your Son to die on the cross for our sins so that we can have eternal life with You in heaven. Please forgive us of our sins, and we thank You in advance for helping us to overcome our weaknesses and shortcomings.

Lord, we come with a special prayer today thanking You for Your unconditional love. Father, whereas others may or may not decide to love us only after we have entered their lives, You made a conscious decision to love us — flaws and all — before You even created the earth. Thank You, Lord, for welcoming us into Your divine family as your sons and daughters. Thank You for not only loving us when we’ve been good but also when we’ve been bad. In the words of Your apostle, Paul, we praise the glory of Your grace wherein You have accepted us in the beloved.

It is in the magnificent name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, that we pray. Amen.
