Today’s Prayer Challenge: Remembering the Lord Can Use Me No Matter My Past

“13 For ye have heard of my conversation in time past in the Jews’ religion, how that beyond measure I persecuted the church of God, and wasted it: 14 And profited in the Jews’ religion above many my equals in mine own nation, being more exceedingly zealous of the traditions of my fathers. 15 But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother’s womb, and called me by his grace, 16a To reveal his Son in me, that I might preach him among the heathen;” ~ Galatians 1:13 — 16a

Dear Lord,

We first and foremost come to You giving You all the praise, glory, and honor as the one and only true and living God. We thank You for salvation — sending Your Son to die on the cross for our sins so that we can have eternal life with You in heaven. Please forgive us of our sins, and we thank You in advance for helping us to overcome our weaknesses and shortcomings.

Lord, we come with a special prayer today thanking You for reminding us through Paul that it is never too late to turn our lives around. We are elated to learn in Your Word that no matter what we have done or for how long we have been doing it, there is no such thing as being too far in sin to receive Your salvation. Also like Paul, dear Father, thank You for helping us to turn away from our sinful ways and follow zealously after you. Lord, we submit ourselves to Your will. Please use us for Your purpose.

It is in the magnificent name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, that we pray. Amen.
