“1 Paul, an apostle, not of men, neither by man, but by Jesus Christ, and God the Father, who raised him from the dead; 2 And all the brethren which are with me, unto the churches of Galatia; 3 Grace be to you and peace from God the Father, and from our Lord Jesus Christ, 4 Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father: 5 To whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen” ~ Galatians 1:1 — 5 (KJV)
We first and foremost come to You giving You all the praise, glory, and honor as the one and only true and living God. We thank You for salvation — sending Your Son to die on the cross for our sins so that we can have eternal life with You in heaven. Please forgive us of our sins, and we thank You in advance for helping us to overcome our weaknesses and shortcomings.
Lord, we come with a special prayer today that You will help us to be like your apostle, Paul, by not only sharing Your Word with others but by administering correction in love. Father, when we share with someone that what he or she is doing is not right, thank You for helping us to do so in a kind way. May we let our lights shine forth into this world with the love of Christ and not with bitterness or hostility. Thank You also, Father, for reminding us that we are on no mission of our own but on Yours alone. Hence, may we give You — not ourselves — all of the glory.
It is in the magnificent name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, that we pray. Amen.
