Maintaining Spiritual High Maintenance

“2 What, my son? And what, the son of my womb? And what, the son of my vows? 3 Give not thy strength unto women, nor thy ways to that which destroyeth kings.” ~ Proverbs 31:2 –3 (KJV)

Dear Lord,

We first and foremost come to You giving You all the praise, glory, and honor as the one and only true and living God. We thank You for salvation — sending Your Son to die on the cross for our sins so that we can have eternal life with You in heaven. Please forgive us of our sins, and we thank You in advance for helping us to overcome our weaknesses and shortcomings.

Lord, we come to You with a special prayer today that You will help us to uphold spiritual high maintenance. As royal children of the King of Kings and Lord of Lords, may we not be so weak as to toss aside our crowns for ways destructive to our spirit.Thank You, Father, for helping us to not give our strength to any man, woman, friend, or foe but to You alone. Thank You, Lord, for showing us what it truly means to give ourselves the royal treatment — for showing us that it is not in material gratification but in spiritual steadfastness.

It is in the magnificent name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, that we pray. Amen.
