If God Gave Wisdom to Animals, What Did He Give to You?

Let us dive right into our key text coming out of Proverbs 30:24 — 28 (KJV). The Word of the Lord reads:

24 There be four things which are little upon the earth, but they are exceeding wise: 25 The ants are a people not strong, yet they prepare their meat in the summer; 26 The conies* are but a feeble folk, yet make they their houses in the rocks; 27 The locusts have no king, yet go they forth all of them by bands; 28 The spider taketh hold with her hands, and is in kings’ palaces.

Who knew critters could be so wise? However, these creatures are not wise of their own accord. It is due to what the Lord invested in them, and just think. If God, instilled in ants the capacity to plan ahead, in locusts the ability to operate as a team without a captain, and in spiders the skill to weave their way into high places, we must be jam packed with profundity. As Jesus says in the book of Matthew, “If I take care of the lilies of the field which are here today and gone tomorrow, will not I surely take care of thee? Are not you greater than these?”.

This also means no more excuses. If we did not know before, we know now that God has given us all of the gifts and talents that we need in order to operate in our purpose. There is never any need for us to be ill prepared when we can plan ahead like the ants. There is no need for us to reside anywhere — physically or spiritually — that is not sturdy and stable when Jesus is our rock. There is no need in believers convincing themselves that they cannot operate as a productive team in the body of Christ when locusts can organize themselves without a leader. There is no need in feeling that you do not have what you need to get to where you want to go when the spider uses what the Lord gave her to spin herself out of the wild life and into the high life. If God did it for the them, He’ll do it for you.

Have a blessed day!
