Today’s Prayer Challenge: To Fully Appreciate God’s Purity

The Penn Speaks prayer challenge

“Every word of God is pure; he is a shield unto those who put their trust in him.” ~ Proverbs 30:5 (KJV)

Dear Lord,

We first and foremost come to You giving You all the praise, glory, and honor as the one and only true and living God. We thank You for salvation — sending Your Son to die on the cross for our sins so that we can have eternal life with You in heaven. Please forgive us of our sins, and we thank You in advance for helping us to overcome our weaknesses and shortcomings.

Lord, we come with a special prayer today that You will help us to fully understand and appreciate Your purity. Father, sometimes we take it for granted that You are the same today as You were yesterday and will be tomorrow. Serving a God rooted in consistency of purity is absolutely priceless, for when we call on You we can rest assured knowing exactly what we are going to get. When we trust in You, we can know beyond the shadow of a doubt that You will be our shield — and not just any old shield but a thoroughly consistent shield, a pure shield, and a subsequently invincible shield.

It is in the magnificent name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, that we pray. Amen.
