“2 Surely I am more brutish than any man, and have not the understanding of a man. 3 I neither learned wisdom, nor have the knowledge of the Holy One. 4 Who hath ascended up into heaven, or descended? Who hath gathered the wind in his fists? Who hath bound the waters in a garment? Who hath established all the ends of the earth? What is his name, and what is his son’s name, if thou canst tell?” ~ Proverbs 30:2 — 4 (KJV)

Dear Lord,

We first and foremost come to You giving You all the praise, glory, and honor as the one and only true and living God. We thank You for salvation — sending Your Son to die on the cross for our sins so that we can have eternal life with You in heaven. Please forgive us of our sins, and we thank You in advance for helping us to overcome our weaknesses and shortcomings.

Lord, we come with a special prayer today that You will give us the spirit of Agur. Open our eyes to realize just how little we know and bask in the awe of Your glory. May we not lean unto our own understanding. May we trust Your ways although they are not our own. Above all, may we never cease to be moved and inextricably captivated by the magnificence of Your power and the sheerness of Your being.

It is in the magnificent name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, that we pray. Amen.
