Today’s Prayer Challenge: To Confess and Turn Away From Sins

“He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsake them shall have mercy.” ~ Proverbs 28:13 (KJV)

Dear Lord,

We first and foremost come to You giving You all the praise, glory, and honor as the one and only true and living God. We thank You for salvation — sending Your Son to die on the cross for our sins so that we can have eternal life with You in heaven. Please forgive us of our sins, and we thank You in advance for helping us to overcome our weaknesses and shortcomings.

Lord, we come with a special prayer today that You will help us to not only ask You for forgiveness but to also do as Your Word says and confess our sins as well as strive not to repeat them. Jesus, You are our Heavenly Father full of unconditional love and care. We do not have to fear coming before you to lay our sins at the foot of the cross. Thank You for giving us the strength to follow after Your Word first and foremost and not the voice of this world.

It is in the magnificent name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, that we pray. Amen.
