Today’s Prayer Challenge: Letting Go of Eyes That are Never Satisfied

“Hell and destruction are never full; so the eyes of man are never satisfied.” ~ Proverbs 27:20 (KJV)

 Dear Lord,
We first and foremost come to You giving You all the praise, glory, and honor as the one and only true and living God. We thank You for salvation — sending Your Son to die on the cross for our sins so that we can have eternal life with You in heaven. Please forgive us of our sins, and we thank You in advance for helping us to overcome our weaknesses and shortcomings.

Lord, we come with a special prayer today that You will help us to let go of eyes that are never satisfied. We cannot help the decisions others make, and we by ourselves cannot quench the never-ending thirst of hell and destruction. By Your power and grace, however, we have the strength to put our own greed in check. May we focus on being grateful for all that You have blessed us with instead of lusting after the vain things of this world. Father, You are all that we need. Fill us with Your love. Fill us with your peace. Fill us with Your joy. May we remember that what You have for us is divinely intended for us, and no one can take it away. We thank You in advance.

It is in the magnificent name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, that we pray. Amen.
