A mother was carjacked around 10 p.m. at a gas station on Edmondson Ave. in Baltimore on Wednesday night. According to reports from NBC News, “Police said Terron Alvin White, 22, forced his way into a Lexus at a gas station on Edmondson Avenue…[and] sped off with a woman and her 20-month-old child inside the car.”
Investigators report that White sideswiped a state trooper vehicle parked within close proximity of a work zone on I-95. The trooper inside the vehicle then began to pursue White. According to findings from NBC News, “White allegedly hit speeds over 100 mph. Another trooper spotted the Lexus on the Outer Loop of the Beltway and noticed that the passenger door was hanging open due to damage from the earlier collision. Police say White was accelerating and then slowing down to speeds as low as 10 mph.” At the point that White reached Rockville, the mother is said to have jumped from the vehicle near Cabin John Parkway with her baby in her arms. Soon following, White was pulled over and arrested by authorities. The mother did not suffered life threatening injuries but was treated for a cut on the head. Her child was not injured.
