One would not think that a man who is kind enough to mow the lawn of an 82-year-old woman would be evil enough to turn around and rape, beat, and rob her in her own home. Nathaniel Rowe, 54 years old, is currently on the loose with Houston police on his track. The Grio reports:
“Rowe used to do yard work for the victim and was initially questioned and released, but recent DNA results have matched him to the crime. NBC’s KPRC Click2Houston reports Rowe broke into the victims home and demanded money. The woman didn’t have any cash, so he stole lottery tickets found in her purse. Rowe then proceeded to tie her up, blindfold her and later beat and rape her.”
Last week, a warrant was issued for Rowe’s arrest. However, he has not been seen since then. This thief and rapist has been previously arrested for drugs, and authorities say that he is dangerous. Prosecutor Donna Rogan told KPRC, “If you’ll rape an 82-year-old woman, you don’t have any boundaries in my opinion. That’s about as bad as it gets.” If Rowe is ever caught, he will be faced with nothing less than a $50,000 bond, but that is nothing compared to serving life in prison if he is convicted.
