If you are having trouble selling your goods, you must not have Obama included in the name of your business establishment. The stores in the black communities of New York have the secret to selling success. It is a growing trend to slap Obama’s name on store fronts in these areas. To name a few, some business names read: Obama Fried Chicken, Obama Beauty Supply, and Obama Deli Grocery.
Business owner Muhammad Seraji makes the marketing strategy sound so obviously simple stating, “People like his (Obama’s) name.” Seraji is in the beauty supply business and crowned his Utica Avenue establishment Obama Beauty Supply. He did not stop with the president’s name, however. Amongst his wigs, weaves, and hair-care products, one of his best-selling items is the $89.99 Michelle Obama lace-front wig.
