Atlantic Records presents “I Heart Black Music” — the year long campaign to celebrate black music. Back in 1979, the music industry created the annual “Black Music Month” celebration, but Atlantic Records is taking it to the next level by expressing their respect for black music artists over the course of an entire year. This campaign will give fans new access to a myriad of digital promotions, artist interviews, and more.
To kick off “I Heart Black Music” the website will feature a week-long special called “Best of Black Music Month” with classic videos from Atlantic artists. Each month, the site will feature new content on a regular basis mirroring the the continuous and rapid transformation of black music culture. Some of the current artists to be featured include: B.o.B., Trey Songz, Cee Lo Gree, Janelle Monae, Wiz Khalifa, Lupe Fiasco, Tank, Mu$ic Soulchild, and Estelle. New artists will be featured as well. You can look to see Diggy Simmons, Hamilton Park, Wynter Gordon, and Laza Morgan.
The fun begins Monday, June 13th, at http://www.iheartblackmusic.com.
